YASD Participates in the 2025 National Youth Summit

Youth Action for Success and Development (YASD) was proud to be among the organising partners of this year’s National Youth Summit, a key platform that brought together young leaders, civil society, and development stakeholders to shape the future of youth engagement in Malawi. As part of the summit, YASD participated in one of the breakout sessions focused on climate change and youth-led sustainability action.

ED Joins National Panel on Youth Innovation and Sustainability

YASD’s Executive Director, also the newly appointed NYCOM Board Director, contributed to a high-level panel discussion on advancing youth-led sustainability and influencing policy through innovation and skills development

During the session, our Executive Director emphasized the need for young people to go beyond raising awareness and begin influencing real change through policy and program engagement. He highlighted the importance of nurturing youth innovation, investing in green skills, and shifting from reactive to proactive approaches in climate action. YASD applauded the introduction of the Youth Innovation Fund as a positive step and called on government and development partners to establish more flexible funding mechanisms that respond to the unique needs of young people. The ED also stressed the importance of making all relevant opportunities and information accessible to youth at every level to ensure inclusive and equitable participation in national development.
