Implementation of Agroecological Farming Practices in TA Chitukula

YASD is implementing agroecological farming interventions in TA Chitukula aimed at improving household food security and resilience among women. Through the Greening the Future Project, funded by the Hlanganisa Community Fund, women are being supported to adopt sustainable farming practices that respond to the impacts of climate change.

The activity focuses on strengthening the capacity of women farmers to improve soil health, increase productivity, and ensure consistent food supply at household level. As a result, participating households are reporting improved access to food and increased ability to meet basic needs, including supporting children’s education.

This intervention builds on lessons learned from the LOGIC Project, ensuring that approaches applied are context-specific and sustainable, while contributing to ongoing efforts to enhance community resilience and promote inclusive economic participation at grassroots level.
